TRAFFIC IN CHICAGO
I must once again reiterate how much I hate Chicago traffic. Yesterday I had to go and pick up my mother from downtown to take her to get her complete diabetes kit and of course I run into rush hour traffic. The fact that I expected it is irrelevant I am still always annoyed being in it. First off, I was on Lake Shore Drive and for the life of me I cannot figure out whose bright idea it was to put lights in the middle of the drive but they should loose their job. I can understand it once you get further downtown where the streets actually need to run into the drive so that you can actually get on it, but why do we need to interrupt the flow of traffic for a side street. You cannot even get on the drive, only off. Then, when I finally get downtown, I have to fight with every other rude driver on the street to get where I need to go. For some reason the cabs downtown think that black and white checkered strip on the car gives them the right to cut you off and run you half way off the road. I am not even going to touch the parking situation. All I will say is that if I can at all ever avoid it, I will take public transportation downtown.
