LOCAL PASTOR
When we got home from church we just kept repeating the words Pastor Flinch had said, that a clean closet will lead to a clean heart and soul. We had never heard that type of admonition from the alter before, but maybe there was something to it. We were to take part in a congregational closet organization project. At the service, Pastor Flinch had challenged us to go and look at any closet in the church and hall, and Lottie had stood up and inspected one in the hall. She came back and reported on how clean and neat it was. She confessed that most of her own closets were messy. We all felt a little ping of shame. I was thinking of our closets at home. The only one that was neat was our bedroom closet, and that thanks to Tara, not me. She wanted things really organized in there, so I had purchased a kit some time back. We were all to clean a closet a week at our homes, and each Sunday we would report back on how we had cleaned and straightened the closets. We decided to tackle the one in the family room first. It had years of unknown stuff in it. We agreed to work on it Saturday.
